The NCAA Tournament is finally here.
The Wisconsin Badgers are just two days away from action, as they’ll head to Portland, Oregon to face the No. 12 High Point Panthers in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, with tip-off slated for 12:50 p.m. CT at the Moda Center.
When the
bracket was revealed on Sunday, many immediately looked at Wisconsin’s pod, which included High Point, Hawai’i, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. The pod included two of the hottest teams in college basketball, with Wisconsin recorded multiple top-15 wins over the last two weeks, while Arkansas ran the table to a SEC Tournament Championship.
Both teams are also known for their guard play, making for a very intriguing potential Round of 32 matchup between Nick Boyd and John Blackwell, and Darius Acuff Jr. and Meleek Thomas.
But, there has also been some upset talk with High Point, given that No. 12 seeds have been one of the most-picked upsets in the tournament generally. While I don’t foresee that happening, High Point has been a trendy pick to upset Wisconsin with an offense that averages 90 points per game.
With some entertaining matchups, which team will make it out of this pod and advance to the Sweet Sixteen, where a potential matchup with the No. 1 Arizona Wildcats awaits. In our weekly reacts poll, let us know your thoughts by voting above and sharing your comments below!
Is Wisconsin destined for a run? Will it be Arkansas moving forward? Or could we see an upset?
