Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Kansas City Royals fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate
in the weekly emailed surveys.
Earlier this week we asked Royals fans how the team should go about adding talent to the roster this offseason, and you all were very firmly agreed:
A nearly-unprecedented 2/3 of respondents agreed that Kansas City can’t afford to utilize only one avenue to improve their playoff odds in 2026; they must try everything.
That said, I’m perhaps more interested in the fact that 12% of respondents believed the Royals should make only small moves. Approximately one out of every eight respondents would apparently feel good about the team heading into 2026 if KC only adds around the edges. That’s more than the 9% who felt the team should only make big trades to fill the holes on their team.
It was somewhat gratifying to see 15% of fans select my preferred method of adding to the roster, the second-most in the poll. Whatever the Royals end up doing, remember to check Royals Review regularly because we’ll break it all down for you with breaking news and deeper analysis to follow, as always.
