We could have our World Series matchup by the end of the night. After the Dodgers punched their ticket to the Fall Classic on Friday, the spotlight shifted over to the ALCS, where the Mariners have made it farther than they ever have in franchise history by going up 3-2 on the Blue Jays. Saturday was a travel day as the series shifts back to Toronto for its finale, whether that comes tonight or tomorrow, but the Mariners are surely hoping to purchase their tickets for a flight to Los Angeles rather
than stay another night out of the country.
We’ll convert this space into an open thread to discuss the game later in the night, but before all that we’ve got a couple of things for you to read in the morning. Josh takes the narrative of the contact bats leading the way in October to task as the numbers simply don’t agree, and John has the social media spotlight for this week.
