Lola Vice was running hot with the NXT Women’s Championship and the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship. The double reign has come to an end. First, it was losing the NXT gold to Kendal Grey at Great American Bash. Now, Vice dropped the AAA belt at Verano de Escandalo (July 25, 2026).
Vice and Mr. Iguana defended the AAA mixed tag titles against La Hiedra and Laredo Kid. This was Hiedra’s final chance at those belts after failing several times to win them from Vice and Iguana. The persistence paid
off for La Toxica.
Down the stretch, Vice connected on a head kick to Hiedra. Laredo saved his partner by breaking the pin. Iguana dumped Laredo from the ring, and he added a slingshot Iguanarana for good measure. Laredo rebounded quickly enough to smash Iguana into the ring steps. Meanwhile, Vice was on top for a roll-up. Hiedra kicked out to send Vice into the ropes. She popped Laredo on the apron with a backfist strike. Hiedra took advantage to grab Vice from behind for a facebuster to win.
Now that Hiedra is a champion, we could be one step closer to her crossing over into NXT and hearing the reaction from Booker T.
Seriously though, this result pays off the long feud with Vice. It might even set up a rematch down the line for Triplemania.
