It would be nice to be talented enough to be drafted by an NBA team, and it would be cool to be in the building, and even cooler to be in the Green Room.
However, there is a lot to be said for being at home with your family and sharing that moment with the people who helped you the most.
That’s how Duke’s Maliq Brown spent Draft Night, and his family got to share the moment with him in the comfort of their home.
It’s nice to see the Browns share his moment of triumph, and they seem like a lovely family.
As for Maliq, he could be in a great situation. We always say it’s best to be with a stable franchise, and San Antonio is the epitome of that. The Spurs are remarkably well run. He’ll get a chance to shine there, and if he shows them what he showed Duke fans, he’ll be just fine.
