It took a Shea “Bangeliers” homer in the bottom of the seventh for the Athletics to overtake the American League Central Division leader Detroit Tigers but they did it in grand style. Game two of the three game series is tonight at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento. On the day that MLB released the 2026 MLB Schedule, leading fans to look ahead to next year, the A’s are showing that there is plenty of fight left in them for a strong 2025 season finish.
Starting the game for the A’s tonight is Osvaldo
Bido. He is 2-4 on the season with a 5.37 ERA in nine starts and nineteen overall appearances. He’s not expected to go deep into the game, so plan to see a lot of the bullpen. He’ll go up against 41-year-old veteran righty Charlie Morton for the Tigers. Morton is 9-10 on the year with a 5.09 ERA with both Baltimore and Detroit.
Morton will face this lineup for Mark Kotsay’s A’s:
Bido will go up against this lineup for the first place Tigers:
