French president Emmanuel Macron has given his prediction ahead of tonight’s clash between PSG and Bayern Munich, adding just a little bit to the pressure on both teams in the semi-final clash between giants.
Captured by @iMiaSanMia, Macron admitted that while he is traditionally a Marseille supporter, his backing will be with PSG on this occasion. His reasoning is simple enough. With PSG representing France in the matchup, national loyalty takes priority over club allegiance.
Macron didn’t stop there,
though. He also offered a score prediction, stating that he expects PSG to come out on top with a 3-1 win. Of course, predictions are one thing, and outcomes are another. And if recent history is anything to go by, Macron hasn’t always had the best track record when it comes to getting things right, politics included.
Still, it adds an interesting layer to an already high-profile game. PSG will be hoping the president’s backing (and prediction) proves accurate, while Bayern will be looking to spoil that narrative. In any case, we won’t have to wait long to find out how this one plays out.
