The Buffalo Bills might be 5-1, leading the AFC East and tied with the Kansas City Chiefs atop the AFC standings, but as has been covered extensively during the bye week, this is an imperfect Bills team with plenty of areas to shore up.
While Josh Allen and the offense have been phenomenal, there is the potential for Buffalo to be even more prolific if it can reduce the penalties and turnovers.
And on the defensive side of the ball, the Bills have shown a troubling tendency to allow teams to hang around
while failing to come up with big stops on third down and getting picked apart by opposing quarterbacks in the passing game.

Heading into a Week 8 home game against the Baltimore Ravens, today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by hearing from first-year head coach Joe Brady on what the Bills need to do better coming out of their bye week and offering up early thoughts on the showdown with the Ravens at Highmark Stadium.
Check out the news items below and then let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
Joe Brady is “not happy with how the team’s playing right now”
The self-inflicted wounds on offense. Too many penalties. Too many big plays surrendered on second- and third-down.
Add it all up and first-year head coach Joe Brady is not satisfied with how Buffalo has started out this year.
“I’m not happy with how the team’s playing right now,” Brady said. “You guys know me, right? I’m never happy, it’s part of who I am. Offense, defense, special teams, there’s things we’re leaving out there, and there’s a standard that I need us to think differently and not be okay with what the results and what the scoreboard showed. If we just sit there and say, ‘Well, we’re 5-1’ then we’re going to fool ourselves into thinking that all is right in the world.”
