The third year of the Adrian Autry era tips off tonight in the JMA Dome. The Syracuse Orange welcome the Binghamton Bearcats as they open up the 2025-26 season looking to get back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2022. Game tips at 7:00 and is streaming on ACCN Extra
Here’s what we’re predicting tonight:
Kevin: Syracuse 79, Binghamton 71
If the game ends this close, fans will be screaming, but I think it’s tough to know if this squad is ready to blow anyone out right away. I think Syracuse
controls the game from the start, but has a lull in the final 5-6 minutes and Binghamton gets it under double-digits. While I like the potential of this roster, the program needs to prove itself this year.
Sam: Syracuse 76, Binghamton 62
I’m pretty lukewarm on the Bearcats right now. Jeremiah Quigley will be one of the best guards in America East, and could give Syracuse some trouble, but if he does, it’s alarming as SU’s length should bother him. Binghamton will need a lot out of Wes Peterson and Zyier Beverly to defend Syracuse’s stars (Starling and Freeman), and it should leave a lot of opportunities for George and Kingz to have big days.
Dom: Syracuse 78, Binghamton 67
This is the game where Freeman and White have big performances that make the Orange feel good about both their outlooks the rest of the season. Syracuse should be manageable on the glass, and as long as Binghamton doesn’t shoot lights out from three, it’s a game the Orange should have no problem handling. In the end, it’s close at certain points but Syracuse gets a few late baskets in the second half to finish the Bearcats off.
Szuba: Syracuse 82, Binghamton 68
This feels like a game where Freeman should have his way against a less talented roster, same for White. Look for those two guys to shine and I think William Kyle will have an opportunity to score if he’s aggressive. Expect Syracuse to have some defensive lapses which keeps Binghamton hanging around, but ultimately the Orange win by double-digits in the season opener.
