The Seattle Seahawks open their training camp on Saturday. As always, a new season means having to learn a lot of new names and faces before the August preseason opener, and the roster churn will continue over the next several weeks at the bottom-end of the 90-man roster.
To get you primed for training camp, we’re providing a quick look at which players are brand new to the squad and thus have no ties to the Super Bowl season. Players like D’Anthony Bell, who spent much of last season with Seattle
before getting claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers, do not count as “new” upon return.
The Seahawks draft class
Jadarian Price, running back. Seattle lost Kenneth Walker III in free agency and won’t have Zach Charbonnet for an undetermined length of time after his ACL tear. The Seahawks were destined to take a running back in the draft and they went with Notre Dame’s Price in the first round. He’ll be one of the most watched players throughout the season.
Bud Clark, safety. Having lost Coby Bryant in free agency, the Seahawks zeroed in on ball-hawkin’ Bud Clark from TCU. Hard to look away from 15 interceptions over four seasons when trying to find another high-level player in the secondary.
Julian Neal, cornerback. With Riq Woolen out of the picture, the Seahawks’ third-rounder was used on Arkansas corner Julian Neal, who possesses the size and length befitting of many Seattle secondaries of yesteryear.
Beau Stephens, offensive line. The Iowa guard was so coveted by the Seahawks that John Schneider gave up a 2027 draft pick to move back into the fifth round to take him. Anthony Bradford’s replacement? Not so fast. But he’s an intriguing prospect.
Emmanuel Henderson Jr, wide receiver. Seattle’s wide receiver room is crowded already, but the sixth-round pick out of Kansas does have plenty of special teams experience that gives him a fighting chance to make the roster.
Andre Fuller, cornerback. Seattle was busy adding corners in the draft, including a seventh-round flyer on Toledo’s Fuller. Just by the very nature of the Seahawks’ current CB room and being a seventh-rounder, he has an uphill battle to make the roster, but by no means should he be counted out.
Deven Eastern, nose tackle. It’s an inauspicious start to Eastern’s NFL career, having been placed on PUP to start training camp after missing minicamp and OTAs with an undisclosed injury. The former Minnesota defensive tackle figured to factor into the competition to at least be rotational depth, but that’s up in the air pending any clarity on his injury.
Michael Dansby, cornerback. The Seahawks’ final pick was used on another corner, the unheralded Michael Dansby out of Arizona. Treydan Stukes got all the attention among the Arizona DBs, but Dansby wasn’t a bystander on that Wildcats defense. Admittedly, it looks like his best shot to make the roster is as a special teams gunner.
The undrafted Seahawks
Lance Mason, tight end. Seattle is pretty stacked at tight end with AJ Barner, Elijah Arroyo, Nick Kallerup, and Eric Saubert all set for another season, but the Seahawks still added to the depth chart by signing Harrison Bryant and undrafted rookie Lance Mason. In his transfer year at Wisconsin, Mason earned All-Big Ten Second-Team honors.
Uso Seumalo, defensive tackle. The Hawaii native played all of his college football in the state of Kansas, starting in community college before four seasons at K-State. At 330 pounds, Seumalo is one of those big bodies who could be a nose tackle in Mike Macdonald’s defense.
Aidan Hubbard, outside linebacker. It was a bit of a surprise that Hubbard went undrafted after 13.5 sacks over his final two seasons at Northwestern, but he represents the biggest edge rushing investment the Seahawks made in the 2026 rookie class.
Marvin Jones Jr, outside linebacker. The other UDFA edge option was Marvin Jones Jr, who isn’t related to the former Detroit Lions wide receiver. Jones hopped around from Georgia to Florida State to Oklahoma in his college career, and looks to be more over a “traits over production” signing.
Rashad Rochelle, wide receiver. While not part of the Seahawks’ initial UDFA class, Rochelle was brought on in mid-May. His experience as a kick returner may be the selling point more than anything regarding actual wide receiver depth.
The Seahawks free agent signings
Emanuel Wilson, running back. As part of the makeover of the running back room, Seattle’s first move was to add the ex-Green Bay Packer on a cheap contract. He’s a steady player who won’t light up the box score, and ideally he’s a much better signing than the last ex-Packers running back Seattle picked up.
Noah Igbinoghene, cornerback. The former Miami Dolphins first-round pick has bounced around a little bit as a journeyman, finding at least some footing under Dan Quinn and the Washington Commanders. He’ll be in the mix as the third cornerback behind Josh Jobe and Devon Witherspoon.
Rodney Thomas II, safety. Much like Wilson was signed before Seattle drafted Price, the Seahawks added Rodney Thomas II from the Indianapolis Colts prior to drafting Bud Clark. Thomas has starting experience and has an extensive special teams background.
Dante Fowler Jr, outside linebacker. Seattle skipped out on drafting an edge player in the wake of Boye Mafe’s move to the Cincinnati Bengals, so John Schneider went for the veteran option of Dante Fowler Jr, who was most recently with the Dallas Cowboys. Fowler was teammates with Igbinoghene in their 2024 run to the NFC Championship Game.
Bobby Hart, offensive lineman. With Josh Jones on the mend due to a knee injury, Seattle brought in the former Cincinnati Bengals starter during mandatory minicamp as a camp body… maybe competition for Jones, too. I’d sooner believe this competition is over once Jones is on the practice field.
Harrison Bryant, tight end. As noted earlier, the Seahawks are well stocked at tight end, but former John Mackey Award winner Harrison Bryant was one of the more interesting adds this offseason. He was an outstanding receiver in college but has been more of a blocking TE in the NFL.
The one Seahawks trade
Irv Charles, wide receiver/special teams. The only trade the Seahawks made outside of the draft was acquiring special teams standout Irv Charles from the New York Jets for a conditional 2028 pick. He’s never been targeted in the NFL let alone caught a pass, so his chance of getting onto the roster is solely through his role as a gunner.
