Poor Harley Cameron. She has a grand desire to win the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship, except she has no partner to help opponents feel the wrath. When all seemed down, Harley may have found that special person.
On AEW Collision (Oct. 11, 2025), Harley confessed to Kris Statlander that her overtures for partnership with Mercedes Moné were rejected. Harley hoped Statlander could fill that void for Wrathlander to ride again. Alas, StatDaddy decided that she must put all focus on her reign with the
AEW Women’s World Championship. Statlander did have a suggestion though for someone Harley could team with. On an unrelated note to Harley’s tag team quest, a wild Toni Storm appears, confronts Statlander, and rips her own shirt open.
We didn’t find out in that moment who Statlander would have suggested, but we can connect the dots from the final scene of the show. Megan Bayne & FTR cheated to beat Willow Nightingale & JetSpeed in the main event. Penelope Ford helped Bayne win off a Doomsday Device to Willow. After the match, Bayne and Ford continued their attack. That’s when Harley ran out holding a guitar neck wrapped in a chain as a weapon to save Willow.
Granted, Harley has history of fighting Bayne and Ford, so saving Willow makes sense on its own. Add in the potential for a new tag team, and, well, AEW was ahead of the curve on this one. They announced that tag team match for the WrestleDream pre-show on Saturday, October 18.
Now, Harley and Willow just need a tag team name.
