The Michigan Wolverines return to The Big House this Saturday to take on UTEP, but they will begin their Big Ten campaign the following week when they host the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Before now, we didn’t have any information as far as when that game would start or what TV network it would be aired on. Well, now we have all those details, as the Big Ten released start times and TV designations for Week 4 on Monday afternoon. As it pertains to the Wolverines and the Hawkeyes, they will kickoff at 3:30 p.m.
on CBS.
The Hawkeyes are off to a 2-0 start as well, with wins over Northern Illinois (40-0) and Iowa State (16-13). They needed two fourth-quarter field goals to take down their in-state rivals this past weekend, but they did what they needed to do to get the job done and remain unbeaten.
Michigan is on a four-game winning streak against Iowa, with two of those wins being in the Big Ten Championship Game in 2021 and 2023. The Wolverines also won at Kinnick Stadium in 2022 by a final score of 27-14. The last time Iowa beat Michigan was back in 2016 on a walk-off field goal, 14-13. The last time Iowa won at The Big House was all the way back in 2010.
Iowa is led this year by quarterback Hank Brown. He didn’t play much last season after transferring to Iowa from Auburn, but he is playing well as the starter this year, completing 33-of-50 passes for 320 yards and one touchdown. Brown also has 34 rushing yards and one touchdown, but running back Kamari Moulto is the star of Iowa’s offense. He has 26 carries for 240 yards and two touchdowns in 2026 up to this point.
On defense, linebacker Cam Buffington is the one to watch. He leads the Hawkeyes with 21 total tackles so far this year — the next closest Hawkeye has nine tackles. Iowa has just one takeaway so far this year on an interception by defensive back Deshaun Lee.
