Normally you want to see some semblance of progression for players with injuries. Unfortunately the Chargers saw zero steps forward across their entire injury report from Wednesday.
Offensive guard Kayode Awosika (fibula) and wide receiver Brenen Thompson (quad/hamstring) were once again non-participants. There was hope both could return this week, but they’re slated to miss yet another week at this rate.
Receivers Ladd McConkey (concussion) and Tre’ Harris (hamstring) were full and limited, respectively.
Having Harris back out there will be huge for the offense, but recent history tells us we can’t be confident in McConkey’s return lasting all that long.
Cornerback Rodney Shelley is on pace to return from a hamstring injury and the Chargers will need him with fellow corner Deane Leonard still rehabbing a concussion. Veteran Donte Jackson returning to the field would also be huge for the cornerback room that continues to be wiped out by injuries.
