Eagles first-round pick Makai Lemon has struggled to stay healthy this offseason. The rookie wide receiver first dealt with a hamstring injury that kept him out of half of OTAs. Lemon then missed 2.5 weeks of training camp and likely two preseason games.
But there’s some good news: Lemon was finally back on the practice field in pads on Thursday for the Eagles second joint practice with the Patriots. The WR was still limited, and didn’t participate in team drills, but it’s encouraging that he was more
involved than he had been.
While Lemon and DeVonta Smith are both returning in a limited capacity, WR Elijah Moore was newly sidelined after suffering a neck injury on Wednesday. The wide receiver room has been banged up a lot so far through training camp, and hopefully they can get back to full health as we approach Week 1.
