After beating the Houston Rockets twice in four nights, the Portland Trail Blazers remain undefeated in 2026. The Blazers have won five in a row for the first time since May 2022. seven of their last eight contests. Even after back-to-back losses to Portland, the run isn’t enough to earn the respect of Houston’s head coach, Ime Udoka.
Having just witnessed a herculean effort by a team of emerging players just daring to dream of what their season could become. Udoka gave the Blazers no praise.

game comments to reporters, the Houston head coach fiercely ripped his team, saying:
“You took a 37 year old out of the game for 2 minutes and you lose a 13 point lead – 11-0 run. Don’t play with any aggression, confidence. Mentally weak.”
The Blazers and Rockets will resume this budding rivalry March 6 in Houston. You know Udoka and company will be itching for revenge.
