Good morning Gang Green Nation! The New York Jets finally play a game against another team today as their preseason begins. Tonight at 7:00 pm EDT the Jets take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sure, it’s preseason football. The starters barely play a quarter, if that. The schemes are plain vanilla, so as to give nothing away for when the games count. Most of the action takes place among players we’ll rarely see in the regular season. It’s often sloppy, rarely exciting, unless Chris Streveler makes an appearance.
Sadly Streveler won’t be appearing for the Jets tonight or any other game in the foreseeable future. However, with all its shortcomings, it’s still an NFL football game, sort of, and we haven’t seen the Jets in one of those since January. The preseason gets started tonight, and the real games beckon in the near future. Jets football is back baby!
