With the Bills (6-1) sitting in first place in the AFC East and in sole possession of first place in the AFC, today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by examining the latest news and trade rumors swirling around Buffalo in the days leading up to the trade deadline.

Who are some of the best fits for Buffalo to acquire via a trade?
The NFL’s trade deadline is at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, and while Buffalo’s defense is coming off a dominant performance in a win against the Baltimore Ravens second- and third-string quarterbacks, Brandon Beane would be wise to kick the tires on potential solutions to shore up his beleaguered defense.
The problem is, as of now, the Bills only have $4.5 million in available cap space, according to Spotrac, a figure that ranks 27th in the NFL. That just isn’t enough cap space to bring in anyone with a base salary, which counts on this year’s cap. Sure, the Bills have a few moves they could make to create some cap space, but Beane is limited in how aggressive he can be at the trade deadline.
