The NFL is slowly unveiling their Top-100 Players of 2026 list, as voted by players. At the moment, they’re revealing two players at a time, and on Tuesday, they got to their first Detroit Lions player.
Jack Campbell ranked 88th on the list this year.
It’s the first time the Lions linebacker has made the list at all, and it comes after a breakout season from the 2023 first-round pick. In 2025, Campbell produced career highs in tackles (176), tackles for loss (9), sacks (5.0), forced fumbles (three).
For his phenomenal year, he was named to the Pro Bowl and earned First-Team All-Pro honors, as well.
While the NFL Top-100 list has gotten tired at this point, the best thing about it is hearing what other players around the league have to say about these players. And Campbell got some high praise from some of the NFL’s best players. Here’s a look at what some of them said:
LB Nakobe Dean:
“He did a little bit of everything this year. He stopped the run effectively, pass game effectively. He rushed the passer effectively. You can see it on the film. He uses his length and everything to his advantage. I feel like he’s just going to continue to get better.”
DB Cooper Dejean (and fellow former Hawkeye):
“It’s more the way he’s wired. Like the way he thinks about the game and plays the game, how aggressive he is.”
“He understands offenses really well, and that’s something I try to take from him–his film study and what he puts into the game. I learned a lot from him. I knew he’s be a great player, and he’ll be a great player for a long time.”
OT Tristan Wirfs (and fellow former Hawkeye):
“Jack’s a freak. First-team All-Pro this past year, 6-foot-5, runs like a deer, hits like a train.”
Last year, the Lions had seven player make the list: Penei Sewell (13), Jared Goff (15), Amon-Ra St. Brown (20), Jahmyr Gibbs (27), Aidan Hutchinson (55), Kerby Joseph (71), and Sam LaPorta (94).
We’ll see how many of those players land on the list again this year, and if there are any other newcomers in 2026.
