Robin Roefs: 7/10
May as well have been a spectator today, barely anything to do other than occasional inch perfect passes.
Nordi Mukiele: 9/10
Completely shut down his side of the pitch defensively but also got forward to great effect over
and over again. Got an assist with a lovely cross to Diarra and just kept trying to create whenever he had the chance.
Dan Ballard: 9/10
Completely dominant at the back, won absolutely everything and made a great covering run and challenge in the first half.
Omar Alderete: 8/10
Defended really well all game, easily dealing with anything coming his way but guilty of a few instances of casual play, that gave Burnley rare chances to threaten.
Reinildo: 9/10
Back to his best today, easily dealt with Burnley defensively but provided a lot more going forward today. Got an assist after picking out Talbi for the third, almost set up another for Hume and also fired a shot just over after a good turn on the edge of the box.
Trai Hume (C): 9/10
A really good come back after his horror show last week. Gave Mukiele the freedom to get forward at will, almost scored with a move he started himself with a tackle in midfield, before bursting forward and getting on the end of a Reinildo cross.
Noah Sadiki: 9/10
Such a disciplined game in front of the back four, couldn’t get around the pitch as much as he usually does due to Xhaka’s absence but that was the performance of a veteran, not a 21-year-old.
Enzo Le Fee: 9/10
Knitted everything together in midfield, always available for a pass and seemed to have all the time he wanted to pick a teammate out.
Habib Diarra: 9/10
Scored twice, although the first goal was given as an own goal but that means he officially ended up with a goal and an assist.
Chemsdine Talbi: 9/10
Worked hard in and out of possession, caused Walker all sorts of problems with his pace and movement around the box and scored an absolute peach of a goal for our third.
Brian Brobbey: 9/10
Absolutely brilliant hold up play, bullied the Burnley defenders all game long and the only thing he was missing was a goal. Got an assist with a great bit of play to set Diarra away for the opener and had one really good effort saved after a clever turn in the box but his best chance was just before the third when he had an air shot.
Substitutes
Wilson Isidor: 6/10
Had a snapshot after coming on that forced a save and played a clever dummy for a teammate just behind him that almost made a fourth.
Lutsharel Geertruida: 6/10
Came on in midfield and kept possession well as we saw out the game.
Romaine Mundle: 6/10
Looked lively after coming on.
Luke O’Nien: N/A
A very late change as we cruised to the win.
Man of the Match: Habib Diarra
Even outside of the goals he provided today, he made such a big difference to the side with his running from deep. The way he bombed into the box it was almost like having a second striker on the pitch, scored the first two goals – although the first goal has gone down as an own goal and he’ll be credited with an assist – and also set up a great chance for Brobbey with a powerful run into the box.
