When Myles Borne defeated Kam Hendrix to retain the North American championship, he also earned a tag team title match against The Vanity Project with his good buddy Tavion Heights. That match took place on this week’s episode of NXT television from the Performance Center and wouldn’t you know it, the good guys got the job done.
It initially looked as though Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes were
going to cheat their way to victory, using an assist from their heater, Myka Lockwood, when Borne managed to take Baylor out and leave Heights in the ring to hit the Height of Glory on Smokes, the legal man. That got the three count and made Borne a double champion while giving Heights his first title in WWE.
Baylor and Smokes were champions for 161 days, having won the titles from DarkState all the way back in February.
