Barcelona boss Hansi Flick was quizzed on Lamine Yamal’s game time ahead of Saturday’s clash with Real Betis in La Liga.
Yamal has played in every Barcelona match so far this season, with the club reportedly confident he’s able to pace himself during matches.
Flick was asked about Yamal at his pre-match press conference and suggested the teenager is not set for a rest any time soon.
“Lamine is a special player and I know we have to balance his minutes, but for him the most important thing is to enjoy
playing football, and at the moment that’s the case and I don’t want to interrupt that situation,” he told reporters.
Barcelona are heading into a run of crucial games at home and in Europe. The Catalans played Betis on Saturday and then face PSG and Real Madrid.
Yamal will be expected to play a big role in all of those games and any potential rest will surely have to wait at least until after those matches have all been completed.
