Misfits Boxing 22 took place Aug. 30 at the AO Arena in Manchester, England. Tony Ferguson (1-0) and Salt Papi (6-3) clashed in the co-main event, which aired live on DAZN pay-per-view.

Round 1
Salt Papi out in southpaw, tony in orthodox. Circling in the middle, Salt Papi with the low lead hand. Salt Papi looking for that lead left hand down the pipe. Just glances a pair of them. Tony walking him down, trying to crowd him, but limited punches.
A lot of feeling out here. Salt Papi lands a left hand around the guard. Oooo. Salt Papi misses a big shot and Tony lands a good combination as a result. He keeps pressuring forward as Salt Papi resets.
OH! Big left hand from Salt Papi as as Tony comes in again. That gets his attention. Tony not doing enough thus far and Salt Papi lands another left hand.

Round 2
Tony comes out and lands a jab immediately over the low lead of Salt Papi. Salt Papi really looking for that left hand as Ferguson comes in. And he finds it a moment later.
Ferguson keeps marching forward, but when he gets Salt Papi cornered, he doesn’t do enough. Salt Papi with much faster hands and he’s landing.
Tony having some success now though. He’s starting to let the hands go, especially his jab. But Salt Papi lands a sharp left hand there. Tony is so slow that’s an issue. But he’s taking these punches well and he keeps pressuring. And Salt Papi isn’t comfortable now as Ferguson has him against the ropes constantly.
Tony starting to let the hands work in combo. Salt Papi lands a sharp left again. Ferguson lands a good right hand. And his jab is scoring now. Mich better round from Ferguson, even though I think Salt Papi still took it, especially with a big flurry right before the bell.

Round 3
Tony back on the pressure. And he lands a big shot. Salt Papi eats it well. They are starting to simply exchange in there now. Ferguson has Salt Papi against the ropes immediately and both men start swinging. Tony is walking through the shots as Salt Papi gets a little more tired. Salt Papi keeps landing but now Tony is landing too. This is vintage Ferguson.
Salt Papi keeps landing big counters but he can’t get Tony out of there. And Ferguson continues to charge.
Oh! Big shot from Tony! Salt Papi is against the ropes and Tony starts punching! And the ref jumps in!!! WOW. No standing 8 count? He just called it off. Salt Papi just got SCREWED right there.
But Tony Ferguson just got his first win in like, a decade and he falls to his knees crying.
