Michael Olise’s development during his time at Bayern Munich has been staggering. He was already very, very good at previous club Crystal Palace but the 24-year-old has even gone up several levels from that, becoming one of the Bavarians’ most important players.
Bayern’s #10, Jamal Musiala, has noticed this development as well. Asked about his fellow Chelsea academy youngster in an interview with Sky Sports’s German division (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), he had this to say: “He’s taken a step forward
in every aspect of his game, and that’s great to see. You can see the trust placed in him on the pitch, the confidence that he’ll create something and make a difference. He’s one of the best players, if not the best, of the season, and if he continues to develop, he’ll become an even more outstanding player than he already is.”
Olise was still working his way into becoming a regular starter during the 2024/25 season and Musiala spent the entire 2025/26 season battling with his horrible ankle injury, so the duo have had little time to truly develop a devastating partnership. Seeing the duo’s connection develop during the 2026/27 season should be one of the many things Bayern fans can look forward to.
