According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg (as captured by @iMiaSanMia_GER), Bayern Munich star Harry Kane just wants everyone to be patient. Despite some rumors swirling around him, Kane will talk to Bayern Munich about a new contract — just as soon as the World Cup is over:
There have already been initial talks between Bayern and Harry Kane. Now, it has been agreed that everyone will stay relaxed and Kane will focus entirely on the World Cup for now. Right after the World Cup,
they want to enter into direct negotiations.
All bosses want to extend with Kane. Bayern wants to extend until at least 2029. Kane can very well imagine staying and is not talking to any other clubs. A final decision will only be made after the World Cup.
Kane has been locked in and focused all season on the task at-hand. A beast for Bayern Munich, Kane picked up right where he left off in club season for England by earning FIFA Player of the Match vs. Croatia. At this point, Kane has earned some trust, even in these completely odd times.
Let’s just hope that he doesn’t delete all of his Instagram photos, too.

Standing on a corner in Tustin, California…
Because I am dolt, I had to make a run to Dick’s Sporting Goods while I am here in California and the nearest one to me was in Tustin so off I went. After grabbing what I needed, I exited the store and there was a circle of four pre-teen or early teen girls seated on the sidewalk in a circle.
I was ambling by when I heard, “That’s Haaland, he’s the f***ing GOAT!” — which caught my attention (moreso for referencing Haaland than the drop of the F bomb). In one respect, I wanted to turn and see what the hell they were doing, but in another respect, I did not want to be a creep, so I did a quick turn as if I was looking back into the store to see that they had some kind of trading card packs and were opening them.
While apropos of nothing, it was a cool moment to see a few young kids in the United States psyched up about football — and specifically about Haaland.
The times they are a changin’…
