The Texas Rangers have announced the players from the organization who will be participating in the Arizona Fall league this year. They are:
Pitchers:
Jose Corniell
Kolton Curtis
Joey Danielson
Winston Santos
Emiliano Teodo
Position Players:
Dylan Dreiling
Malcolm Moore
Sebastian Walcott
This is a solid group — seven of the eight players on the list are on MLB Pipeline’s top 30 prospect list for the Rangers, while the eighth player, Joey Danielson, is a reliever who is at least a prospect of the fringe variety.
Several the pitchers are guys who are needing to make up for lost innings during the season, which usually seems to be the case for pitchers assigned to the AFL. Santos has made just four appearances this year — he made two starts in early April, then was on the injured list until almost the end of August with a back injury. Jose Corniell missed all of 2024 and the first half of 2025 due to Tommy John surgery, making 11 appearances covering 28.2 innings since early July.
Emiliano Teodo spent time on the injured list early in the year, and when he was healthy he had significant command issues much of the time. Between the ACL (where he made a couple of rehab appearances), Frisco and Round Rock, Teodo walked 27 batters in 26 innings over 23 games against just 30 Ks. Kolton Curtis threw 66 innings over 19 appearances for Hub City this year. Danielson, a 2024 14th rounder out of North Dakota State, is a 24 year old righthander who split the season between Hub City and Frisco, putting up a 4.42 ERA in 55 innings over 48 games.
Walcott is a consensus top 10 prospect in MLB, a 19 year old shortstop who slashed .250/.350/.386 with 32 stolen bases for AA Frisco this year. Moore and Dreiling were the Rangers’ first and second round picks in 2024. Moore, a catcher, missed time due to a broken thumb and slashed just .198/.293/.271 in 242 plate appearances for Hub City. Dreiling, an outfielder, slashed .226/.319/.381 in 483 plate appearances for Hub City.
