Happy Sunday and happy Father’s Day, if you’re a dad of any stripe. Since we’re deep into the weekend and starting the quiet stretch after minicamp, it’s time for another discussion post.
This one’s simple: Where’s your favorite place to vacation? Do you love staying home but getting some time off from work? Are you an international traveler who likes finding new places? Is it someplace close to home that you treasure visiting every year?
For me, it’s a lake in Maine I’ve been going to since I was
a baby. There’s the nostalgia associated with it because I’ve gone there my whole life—my grandparents were lucky enough to buy a cabin in the 1960s before it became prohibitively expensive to do so and it’s stayed in the family—but it’s also something I look forward to every year because it’s one of the few chances I get to unplug, swim, go kayaking, and all that pleasant jazz.
Whether it’s having a quiet week at home, traveling an hour to camp, or jetting off to an exotic locale, what’s your favorite vacation spot?
