According to his agent, Ryan Murphy, redshirt freshman guard Cade Orness has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Orness becomes the first Gonzaga Bulldog from the 2025-26 roster to do so.
The portal officially opens up the day after the national championship on Tuesday, April 7, and will be open for 15 days until April 26.
The former walk-on turned scholarship player appeared in eight games for the
Zags. Orness finished with three points, one rebound, one assist, and one steal in 20 minutes logged.
At 6-5 and 185 pounds, he hails from Poulsbo, Washington, and played at North Kitsap High School. Orness is the Vikings’ all-time leading scorer with 1,821 career points.
