Pirates left fielder Tommy Pham is a finalist for significant defensive hardware throughout the National League.
On Wednesday, Rawlings announced that Pham is a finalist for the 2025 Gold Glove Award in left
field.
Pham, 37, played 120 games for the Pirates, 115 in left field.
In 924.2 innings, earned six outfield assists and 200 putouts. He only committed three errors and posted an overall fielding percentage of .986.
Pham is one of three finalists, joined by Cubs star and Pittsburgh native Ian Happ, and Miami Marlins All-Star Kyle Stowers.
According to Fielding Bible’s breakdown, Pham recorded five defensive runs saved in left, only behind Happ in the NL. Stowers totaled two in nearly 400 fewer innings. The Cubs are represented at six different spots.
Pham has never won a Gold Glove and is a finalist for the first time in his MLB career. He signed a one-year, $4 million deal to join the Pirates in the offseason. Pham was named the 2025 recipient of the MLBPA Pirates Heart and Hustle Award.
After a very slow start, hitting under .200 during the first month of the season, Pham rebounded. It took Pham being able to see the ball clearly with a new prescription to help his eyesight, but he closed 2025 slashing .245/.330/.370 with a .700 OPS. Pham totaled 17 doubles, 10 home runs, and 52 RBIs in 392 plate appearances.
Jared Triolo is a finalist for the utility award Gold Glove for a second consecutive year and won the award last season. Former Pirate and Gold Glove winner Ke’Bryan Hayes is once again a finalist, representing Pittsburgh and Cincinnati at third base.
