The New England Patriots suffered multiple injuries in the first half of their Week 16 game against the Baltimore Ravens. Rookie defensive tackle Joshua Farmer was among the players to go down, and he has since been ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
Farmer remained on the ground after a pass play in the game’s opening quarter, and headed straight into the blue medical tent. While he eventually rejoined his teammates on the sidelines, he was announced as questionable to return with a hamstring
injury.
Farmer never returned to the game, however, and was ultimately ruled out at the half.
A fourth-round selection pick by the Patriots in this year’s draft, Farmer entered Sunday with 12 games and a pair of starts on his career résumé. He also had 15 tackles and a fumble recovery to his name.
Farmer was not the only Patriots rookie to go down in the first half against Baltimore. Second-round running back TreVeyon Henderson sustained a head injury that also forced him to be ruled out.
