WCG’s March Mock Bracket challenge has moved into the quarterfinals. This half will determine which two “defensive-line” prioritizing Chicago Bears drafts make it into the Final Four.
EDGE-priority #1 vs #3
#1 Seed. Akheem Mesidor (ED, Miami) + AJ Haulcy (SF, LSU) + Domonique Orange (DL, Iowa State)
This choice crushed the competition. 85% of the vote favored the defensive end from Miami backed by a pair of physical players at other positions of need. This would be a draft that showed Chicago’s front office was in alignment
with Chicago’s fanbase…at least on this issue.
#3 Seed. Zion Young (ED, Missouri) + Jacob Rodriguez (LB, Texas Tech) + Kamari Ramsey (SF, USC) + 2027 R2 New York Giants
Fans also like the idea of trading down. 87% of voters liked the idea of Chicago trading out of the first round entirely to take Zion Young at #37 and then infusing playmaking talent into the back seven–all while adding a future second-round pick.
DT-priority #4 vs #3
#4 Seed. Christen Miller (DL, Georgia) + Malachi Lawrence (ED, UCF) + Kamari Ramsey (SF, USC).
With 80% of the vote in one of the less-popular polls, the #4 seed in the Defensive Tackle-priority draft also made it through. Miller has not been highlighted as much as other interior defensive linemen, but he is a good fit for the lighter nose tackle role in an even-front. Lawrence is still considered a second-rounder on many boards, and Ramsey fills another defensive need.
#3 Seed. Lee Hunter (DL, Texas Tech) + Derrick Moore (ED, Michigan) + Zakee Wheatley (SF, Penn State) + 2027 R2 Pick from Cincinnati.
Trading down narrowly beat out targeting Caleb Banks, with under 56% of the vote favoring Chicago selecting Lee Hunter at #41. If Hunter were selected here, it would allow the team to fill in at edge and safety while also picking up a future second-round pick.

So which is the best option?
#1 (Mesidor) and #4 (Miller)?
#1 (Mesidor) and #3 (Hunter)?
#3 (Young) and #4 (Miller)?
