In a new 2027 mock draft, Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski believes the Jaguars could end up drafting yet another edge rusher to add to their already-strong duo in Josh Hines-Allen andTravon Walker.
“The Jacksonville Jaguars’ offense is capable of building early leads and requires a complementary defense to harass trailing opponents. The addition of another edge-rusher may come across as counterintuitive after the franchise’s investments in Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker. However, Walker can be
a wrecking ball when reduced down over guards in sub-packages, while Notre Dame’s Boubacar Traore provides another explosive, upfield edge-rusher.”
An elite pass rush is one of the biggest factors in building a championship defense. That usually means having three impactful players who can rush the passer. While there may be other needs for the Jaguars come April, you just never know how the board will fall and the Jaguars are on pace to pick somewhere in the mid-late 20s. Adding a player at a premium position that late is always great value.
