What is the story about?
If
you are monitoring the football news, you can see when a team’s season is effectively over just based on the headlines. Everything switches to a focus on the summer. Now we’re done with all this silly football business, we can focus on the only part of the season that matters: the transfer window.
BVB News
- Manchester City are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in Felix Nmecha. Nmecha is a Man City academy graduate and reports suggest they want to bring him back to the North West of England. If they are willing to pay the reported €70m that BVB are asking for, that’s great news.
- Dortmund are planning to give Emre Can a one-year contract extension, to help him recover from his injury.
- Serhou Guirassy’s Dortmund future still hangs in the balance but it’s starting to look more and more likely that he will leave the club in the summer.
- BVB will make one last push to keep Nico Schlotterbeck at the club. If the front office can’t convince him to stay, they will look to sell Schlotterbeck this summer, with Real Madrid one of the clubs interested in the German center-back.
Bundesliga News
- He only joined Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, but Liverpool are considering activating the €80m buy-back option for center-back Jarell Quansah.
- Another Bundesliga defender could be heading to Merseyside, with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Nnamdi Collins attracting interest from Liverpool as well.
- Meanwhile, Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka is eyeing up a move to North London. There is a “strong possibility” of the Bayern midfielder joining Arsenal in the summer.
