Rouven Kasper joined Bayern Munich on 1. January, 2026, as the clear favorite for the role of board member for marketing. The former VFB Stuttgart employee has gotten to work, though, and has identified which vrious international markets the Bavarians will look to target.
He lays this out clearly in an interview with Tz.
“Our target markets are clearly defined. In the Americas, our focus has so far been on North and Central America, but South America is becoming increasingly exciting,” Kasper explained
(as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Asia is also a clear priority, and we should be looking more closely at countries like India, Indonesia, and Thailand. We also need to be willing to try new approaches there.”
Building the club’s reputation in foreign markets has been one of Bayern’s goal for many years now, but Kasper brings with him the desire to target other countries than the club did previously. Certainly, it seems Kasper is bringing new energy into the proceedings.
