The 2025 NFL season is over for the Eagles and Howie Roseman is wasting no time making moves for 2026. After players finished clearing out their lockers, the team announced that they’ve signed eight guys to reserve/future contracts, keeping them in Philly.
One of the more notable names was the last one announced: WR Quez Watkins. After playing for the Eagles from 2020-2023, Watkins spent the 2024 season on the Steelers practice squad, was signed by the Cardinals during the 2025 offseason, and ended
up back in Philadelphia on the practice squad in late-September.
Several other players also spent time on the Eagles practice squad and had been elevated on game days. There was a lot of potential and they did enough to earn a chance to come back in the spring and compete for another roster spot.
The full list of players:
- LB Chance Campbell
- DB Tariq Castro-Fields
- WR Danny Gray
- DT Gabe Hall
- DB Brandon Johnson
- C Jake Majors
- OT Hollin Pierce
- WR Quez Watkins
Those who ended the season on Philly’s practice squad but were NOT signed include:
- DT Ta’Quon Graham
- LS Charley Hughlett
- TE E.J. Jenkins
- EDGE Patrick Johnson
- WR Terrace Marshall
- QB Kyle McCord
- DB Parry Nickerson
- S Andre’ Sam
It’s possible the Eagles will still retain some of these players but, for now, they are free agents.
