Yesterday
was not a banner day for the Phillies manager. Shortly after making some interesting comments about the team’s star player, Don Mattingly made some extremely questionable pitching decisions in a game that helped kick off the meltdown that led to a devastating loss. No matter what you may think of Mattingly as a manager on the whole, it was not a good look yesterday for him or the team. They’ll have off today before getting back at it in Baltimore this weekend.
