The Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua event just added even more star power.
Netflix announced Wednesday that former WBC champion Deontay Wilder (45-4-1) is set to fight Zuffa Boxing cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia (31-0) in a heavyweight bout on the highly anticipated Fury vs. Joshua card on Dec. 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
UFC CEO Dana White, whose involvement in the Fury vs. Joshua promotion has been put into question by Eddie Hearn, also made an announcement, which can be watched

One of boxing’s all-time great knockout artists, Wilder has won two straight fights to break out of a 1-4 slump that saw him take losses against Tyson Fury (twice), Joseph Parker, and Zhilei Zhang. Of Wilder’s 45 wins, 43 have come by way of KO/TKO.
Opeteia (31-0) signed with White’s Zuffa Boxing organization in 2026 and has since competed twice, winning the inaugural Zuffa cruiserweight belt by beating Brandon Glanton in March and then successfully defending it via a ninth-round stoppage over Noel Mikaelian the following September. The undefeated Opeteia competes as a heavyweight for the first time since 2017.
