Tonight’s (Aug. 15) episode of SmackDown kicked off with Solo Sikoa gloating about the MFTs’ recent track record of stomping out babyfaces like Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn, and Jacob Fatu.
It didn’t take long for Sami to interrupt Solo’s interview for a little chat. He actually thanked Solo for screwing him out of a potential win over Rusev on this week’s Raw. Zayn said that was the end of his world title chase, but it has now liberated him to accomplish so many other things in WWE. One of the items on his checklist
is to win another belt he’s never held before, the United States championship.
Solo didn’t take kindly to that threat, and told Sami to take his ass back to Raw where he belongs. That’s when Zayn dropped some big news; he’s now officially on the SmackDown roster!
The MFTs attacked Sami at that point. Jimmy and Jacob came out for the save, setting up a six-man tag team main event match for later in the night.
It was never explained what Raw gets in exchange for losing Sami, so I guess that will be revealed whenever WWE creative figures it out.
What do you think about WWE’s decision to move Sami over to SmackDown? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
