It has been a wild few months of rumors surrounding Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae.
There were numerous stories indicating that Bayern Munich was going to attempt to sell Kim this summer, but now, that stance might be changing. According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich will now keep the South Korean star:
🚨❤️ EXCL | Change of plans at FC Bayern: Minjae Kim is no longer a sale candidate.
The only exception would be an extraordinary offer that Kim himself
wants to accept. As things stand, Bayern want to keep him and are planning with him.
As previously reported, Kim himself was also not planning to leave Bayern this summer. His contract runs until 2028. @SkySportDE
As stated in Plettenberg’s report, reports indicated that Kim was not seeking a move — and, in truth, he would have been difficult sell anyway with his €15 million total financial package (salary + bonus) for the 2026/27 season.
