Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently unveiled its official poster for the upcoming UFC Edmonton: “Buckley vs. Malott” mixed martial arts (MMA) event on Paramount+

, scheduled for Sat., Oct. 17, 2026 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As the name would suggest, UFC Edmonton will be headlined by the 170-pound showdown between ranked welterweights Joaquin Buckley and Mike Malott.

See how that fight came together here.

Buckley (21-8) is coming off the

second two-fight losing streak of his UFC career. In addition to his one-sided loss to Sean Brady at UFC 328 back in May, “New Mansa” came up short in another lopsided defeat against former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman at UFC Atlanta in June 2025.

As for Malott (14-2-1), he’s currently riding a four-fight win streak, which includes his third-round knockout win over Gilbert Burns atop UFC Winnipeg last April. “Proper” is now 7-1 inside the Octagon and has quickly become one of the most successful Canadian fighters on the current roster.
