Joao Felix is reportedly pining for Barcelona and wants to return to the club from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
The Portugal international spent time on loan at Barcelona during the 2023-24 season and has recently spoken about the memories he has of Camp Nou.
“Good ones, very good ones. In the end, we didn’t win anything, but simply playing for Barcelona made me very happy. Obviously, being there on loan isn’t the same as belonging to the club. Everything is different when you’re their player,”
he told AS.
“Anything can happen in a year: you can be doing really well or really badly, you can have highs and lows. But I’m very happy to have worn the Barça shirt. It was a childhood dream for me, my father and my brother. It was an honor.”
According to Diario Sport, Felix is now eyeing a return to Europe when his contract in Saudi Arabia concludes at the end of the current season.
His “big dream” is to return to Barcelona on a free transfer, per the report, and has agent Jorge Mendes has already made the club aware of the forward’s ambitions.
However, a return looks difficult due to the attacking options Hansi Flick already at his disposal following a summer that saw Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and Gabriel Jesus arrive at the club.
