Jimmy Hart said he expressed concerns to Hulk Hogan before the disgraced Hall of Famer made a disastrous final appearance in WWE months before his passing.
Appearing on What Do You Wanna Talk About? With Cody Rhodes, Hart told Rhodes he had a bad feeling about the night he and Hogan showed up on Raw’s Netflix debut in January 2025 to promote Hogan’s new beer brand, Real American Beer.
“I said, ‘I don’t like this,’” Hart recalled telling Hogan. The Hulkster’s response, according to Hart? “Jimmy, don’t worry
about it.”
Once a hero to millions, Hogan was booed out of the building and straight out of California. But it’s not like the warning signs weren’t obvious before they arrived in Los Angeles.
Hart, who described himself as neither Republican nor Democrat but a “jabroni,” knew Hogan’s support of Donald Trump wouldn’t go over well in a blue state. He revealed that they were also confronted by fans, who told the polarizing wrestling icon that they didn’t love him anymore.
Still, Hogan marched on. Before they stepped out, Hart said Hogan asked him what he thought. Trying to remain positive, he replied, “No, everything’s good.”
It wasn’t. Far from it.
Once his music hit, fans in the Intuit Dome blasted Hogan with boos. Behind him was Hart, who said he acted like he was managing the villainous Hart Foundation against the beloved British Bulldogs, as he waved the American flag.
Hogan had considered leaning into the boos, Hart said, by turning on the crowd. Instead, he played the segment straight.
What Rhodes and Hart didn’t touch on were Hogan’s racist remarks, revealed more than a decade ago in a secretly recorded sex tape. That, along with the lack of a proper apology and Hogan’s political affiliation, was seen as a key reason why fans rejected him in a city where he had headlined as a hero countless times.
Even after his death last July, mentions of Hogan still draw heated reactions. Hart, however, remains upbeat, offering a positive message for those who offer him their condolences.
“Hulk’s in a better place right now,” Hart said. “No more pain, no more suffering, no more having to look at the internet over gaga goo goo. So he’s happy.”
