The Pittsburgh Steelers have made no shortage of changes to their offensive line this offseason. After last week’s rookie minicamp tryout, the Steelers have signed former Michigan Wolverines center Greg Crippen.
Crippen started all 13 games for the Wolverines last season, and appeared in 41 games during his collegiate career. The six foot four offensive lineman spent five seasons with the Wolverines, winning a National Championship with the team in 2023.
Crippen was an All-Big 10 honorable mention
in 2025. He posted a 5.03 relative athletic score during the pre-draft process.
The Steelers starting center Zach Frazier is among the best at the position in the entire league. Ryan McCollum is currently slayted the backup to Frazier for another season. Pittsburgh also signed former Cowboys offensive lineman Brock Hoffman in free agency, who has experience playing the position. Crippen will battle for a spot on the 53-man roster this summer at training camp after an impressive showing at rookie minicamp.
With the signing of Crippen, the Steelers released offensive tackle Sataoa Laumea. Laumea was a sixth-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks who signed a futures deal with the Steelers in January.
