One week is in the books for the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes, and, despite the weaker competition, there was a lot that was learned from the Week 1 win over Ball State. So, as we move
toward the matchup with the No. 4 Texas Longhorns, we have more information about the Buckeye squad than we did a week ago.
So, in this week’s fan survey, we want to know which of the six options has to have a great game in order for Ohio State to leave the Lone Star State with a marquee victory. Then, since the Buckeyes obviously play this week, we also want you to pick the margin of victory for Saturday’s game.
Take a look at the options below, then vote in the survey at the bottom of the article. On Saturday morning, before the game kicks off, we will share the results, so make sure to check back in with us in a few days. Question 1: Who most has to have a great game for Ohio State to beat Texas?
Obviously, I would love it if all of these players and position groups had a great game in Austin on Saturday, and I am optimistic that they will. However, if it came down to one of the six absolutely having to ball out, which do you think it would be?
I have my pick, but I don’t want to bias the results, so I will keep quiet until the poll is closed. But I will say that if you look back at recent OSU-UT games, you could probably eliminate 1/3 of the options from consideration.
Question 2: What will be the margin of victory in Ohio State vs. Texas?
The Buckeyes are 1.5-point underdogs heading deep into the heart of Texas, and the gold standard of college football analytics, SP+, projects OSU to win the game 27-25. So, regardless of who is doing the prognostication,
