It’s been around a decade since the Denver Broncos had this good of odds to make the NFL Playoffs entering the season, and it makes plenty of sense. They’ve done nothing but add to and improve a roster and coaching staff that made the Playoffs last year, and that’s part of the reason FanDuel has them as favorites to make the postseason this year.

Now this is a bet that I’m definitely willing to take, in regards to the Broncos, and I appreciate Denver finally starting to get the recognition it deserves this season. And I think that they even have the odds of them making the NFL Playoffs a little more on the low side. They should be above teams like the Texans, and absolutely the Bengals. But I’m sure these odds will shift as the season plays out and the Broncos’ odds will only go up.
FanDuel, odds-wise, clearly has the Broncos as a wild card team this year, but I think there is legitimacy to Denver being threats to win the division, so let’s look at those odds as well.
AFC West winner odds
- Kansas City Chiefs (-110)
- Denver Broncos (+290)
- Los Angeles Chargers (+330)
- Las Vegas Raiders (+1100)
I think they got these odds more right than their NFL Playoff odds. Obviously the Chiefs will be the favorites until someone finally surpasses them, but the Broncos are right on their tail. Denver already gave the Chiefs everything they could handle in that Week 10 matchup last year that ended with that awful blocked field goal. They have what it takes to knock the crown off of their head this season. I’d take that bet.
