Tonight, the 18th-ranked Florida State Seminoles are hosting the 3rd-ranked Miami Hurricanes (4-0, 0-0 ACC) in front of what will be a raucous and rowdy sold-out crowd that will have Doak Campbell Stadium rocking and rolling [that’s a lot of R’s]. This annual rivalry game is tonight’s featured primetime nationally televised game on the ABC Network, with the kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
FSU is undefeated (3-0) at Doak this year, including their season-opening win over the 8th-ranked Alabama Tide
as a 14-point underdog, but for the second time this season, the Seminoles will be home underdogs against a ranked opponent. The Noles have beaten Miami in the last 2 games played at Doak and won three of the previous four meetings; however, UM leads the all-time series rivalry in wins with 36, to FSU’s 33 wins.
I could go on about YTD stats, FBS rankings, series history, and whatnot, but we have covered all that in depth, and you can find most of what you’re looking for in our Pre-Game Coverage from Tomahawk Nation section down below.
None of that matters whenever the Noles and Canes meet for their yearly violent slugfest, and the coaches, players, and fans, on both sides, don’t expect tonight’s matchup to be any different. At stake are the players’ bragging rights, recruiting pitches, and fans of the winning team being able to lord the victory over fans of the losing team for the next year until the two teams kick off again in 2026.
That’s what college football rivalries are all about, and tonight’s game between FSU and Miami will be the next chapter in this storied rivalry. So, ladies and gentlemen, pull up your socks, lace up your cleats, and tighten your chinstraps, because most everyone expects that we are in for yet another wild ride tonight.
According to FanDuel, FSU is a 4.5-point underdog, with the over/under set at 54.5 points.
