Lehigh Valley absolutely crushed this week going 5-1 with some great pitching and hitting. Caleb Ricketts was the star of the week and is up to 4 homers on the season now. Jean Cabrera troubling…troubles continue as he was demolished in the start on Tuesday going only 2.2 innings. He fared way better on Sunday but was still a subpar performance for what you’d hope would be the next logical call-up if a big league starter was needed.

Raylin Heredia – 5 G, 5 for 18, 2 R, 2 2B, 0 BB, 5 K
Reading put on a hitting clinic this past week. Dante Nori seems to have found his stride again on the basepaths after a few frustrating weeks. He has still yet to play in the field yet as he is nursing an arm injury. Alex Binelas mashed his 7th and 8th homers of the season, leading the organization in that category.

Woof, a tough week for the BlueClaws as Bowling Green takes 5 of 6 from them. Not many “highlights” to speak of as this is the shallowest prospect pool I’ve seen on a team in quite awhile.

Will Vierling – 3 G, 2 for 10, RBI, 2 BB, 3 K, HBP
Gage Wood doesn’t make it out of the 3rd inning in either of his starts last week, showing you prospect development isn’t linear. Should keep an eye out on how well he bounces back though. Bowker with the most impressive start this week among 2025 draft picks. More of that please. Wen-Hui Pan makes his long awaited return from Tommy John Surgery which caused him to miss all of last season. While his first appearance was rocky, things went much smoother in his second with a scoreless inning.
Alirio Ferrebus remains the most fascinating hitting prospect so far in this young season for the Phillies. The 20 year old catcher is mashing Low-A pitching to the tune of a .308/.395/.538 line with 3 homeruns, 6 walks, and 11 strikeouts in 65 at-bats.
