According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg
, Bayern Munich is among the final four teams in contention for Hertha Berlin central midfield phenom Kennet Eichhorn. The Bavarians would conceivably do battle with Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Bayer Leverkusen to sign Eichhorn. While English and Spanish clubs are in the mix — including Manchester City — Plettenberg says that it will come down to one of the aforementioned Bundesliga clubs:
Four Bundesliga clubs want Kennet
Eichhorn: FC Bayern, Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen.
Manchester City have shown concrete interest. Other English clubs and one Spanish clubs are interested as well.
It is expected that Eichhorn will pick his new club between the four Bundesliga sides mentioned above. Release clause: €10-12m.
There have been rumors for months linking Bayern Munich to Eichhorn, but nothing concrete has emerged as of yet. However, the 16-year-old is considered to be one of the players that Bayern Munich would even consider bringing into the central midfield group for next season.
One disadvantage for the Bavarians could be that Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, and Bayer Leverkusen are all more likely to have significant minutes available earlier for Eichhorn.
