The United States Men’s National Team is officially here! Yesterday, the roster for the 2026 World Cup was officially revealed on a live show on Fox at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City.
The roster leaking over the weekend made the announcement more of a formality, but for 26 players, the dream of making a World Cup roster and comprising the USMNT who will compete at a home World Cup became real. Now, the journey begins as they start preparations for the sendoff matches and then the opening
match of the tournament on June 12th.
In addition to officially revealing the names, we learned the numbers that the players will wear at the 2026 World Cup. Some of the numbers were known, but for others it’s a chance to reveal that number before the country. Each player (with the exception of Chris Richards, who was absent as he and Crystal Palace prepare to play the Europa Conference Final today), got a chance to walk out onto the stage to hold up their home jersey with their name and number on the back as their name and hometown were announced.

After the roster is submitted, the only changes that can be made are for injured or ill players, and that can happen until 24 hours before the team’s opening match against Paraguay.
The team arrived in Atlanta last night and will train at the new Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center before heading to Charlotte this weekend to play Senegal in their first tune-up match before the World Cup. And they take with them the ultimate dream of showing the world what they can do and being the last team standing on July 19th.
