Welcome back to College Football Saturday!
While your Miami Hurricanes are getting back to basics after losing to Louisville 24-21 last night, there are PLENTY of other games to enjoy today in the meantime.
While you watch games from coast to coast today, hop in the comments and talk about the action as it happens. And, in case you needed to know who to root for in games with ACC teams, we’ve got you covered on that front:
I’ll post a couple highlight games in this window, but here’s a watchgrid graphic from TrigDraws, a contributor with another network.

Anyways, a couple games to keep an eye on in the early window, with lines provided by our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook:
- #10 LSU at #17 Vanderbilt, Noon, ABC; line: Vanderbilt -2.5 — LSU is a talented team but their offense has been underwhelming. Meanwhile, Vanderbilt is looking to build on their strong start with a signature win at home. This is the game to watch in the Noon window.
- #12 Georgia Tech at Duke, Noon, ESPN; line: Duke -1.5 — This is the biggest game as far as Miami’s concerned. Georgia Tech and Virginia have super easy ACC schedules, so the possibility exists that they both go undefeated in-conference. And, if they did, Miami would be on the outside looking in for the ACCCG, even at 11-1. So, we kinda need Duke to win this game. But maybe watch on mute cuz you know any mention of Miami will be about us losing.
- #5 Ole Miss at #9 Georgia, 3:30pm, ABC; line: Georgia -6.5 — Game of the day. Lane Kiffin already has 1 big win this season over LSU. Can they do it again at Georgia, who they beat 28-10 last year in Oxford? and for the Dawgs, can they get on the good foot and hold serve at home? This is one of the biggest games of the year. Skip the early games to be seated and ready to watch this one, IMO.
- #1 Ohio State at Wisconsin, 3:30pm, CBS; line: Ohio State -25.5 — This shouldn’t be a game for long, but if you’re looking to scout teams Miami could potentially see in the CFP (which I am still focused on being part of this year, despite losing last night), this is one to watch. Well, one of these teams is, at least.
- #7 Texas Tech at Arizona State, 4pm, FOX; line: Texas Tech -7.5 — same blurb, different game. TT looks like a CFP team, and it’s good to get eyes on them for the future, if you can.
- Mississippi State at Florida, 4:15pm, SEC Network; line: Florida -9.5 —Rumors abound that, despite the outcome, this could be Billy Napier’s last game as Florida’s coach. Will the Gators show up for their coach, or are they checked out now that it seems like they’re finally gonna fire Napier? Tune in to find out!
There are more games, obviously, but those are the ones that stick out to me in the early window.
Let’s talk some football until we’re back for the primetime games later.
Happy Football Saturday, everybody!
