It all goes down tomorrow night (Sat., May 9, 2026) at UFC 328 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, as undefeated sensation Khamzat Chimaev puts his UFC middleweight title on the line against former champion Sean Strickland. This all comes after Friday’s ceremonial weigh ins as fighters take to the stage for one final trip to the scale.
UFC’s return to Newark this weekend will be spearheaded by the aforementioned middleweight title fight between Chimaev and Strickland.
The former training partners really don’t like each other and it has only added to an entertaining and unpredictable fight week. Fight fans are only hoping that when the time comes for Khamzat and Strickland to actually fight inside of the Octagon that they deliver the goods. With such bad blood filling the air it’ll be almost impossible to not.
Luckily, UFC 328 will also feature a stacked undercard full of fun matchups. This includes the co-headliner between UFC flyweight champion Joshua Van and Japanese sensation Tatsuro Taira, a heavyweight clash featuring top contenders Alexander Volkov and Waldo Cortes-Acosta, a welterweight scrap involving Sean Brady and knockout artist Joaquin Buckley, and a “Prelims” card featuring notable veterans and top-flight finishers.
